About Jessica

I’m Jessica Suggs, Founder and CEO of Journey 2 Professor. Starting out from attending a community college and going from a 2.0 GPA to becoming a 4.0 doctoral student in pursuit of a Public Health: Epidemiology degree, I’ve got my start in teaching with no prior experience. In 2014, I graduated with a Master’s in Health Science and became an adjunct professor to 4 different colleges within 4 years. I’ve helped and assisted in college students to graduate successfully, enroll in advanced degree programs and provided much needed advice in majors including but not limited to health sciences, biology, sleep technology, medical assistant programs, women’s health and other. In addition, I have had the pleasure of serving on multiple mentor programs for youths and adolescents in my city of Baltimore, Maryland. I’ve created multiple courses for colleges as well as taught them. Furthermore, I have much experience in creating life skills and health courses in several formats such as face-to-face, hybrid and online packed to capacity.  I’ve shared my expertise in networking, landing and creating courses for those who have or do not have prior teaching experience. The purpose of Journey 2 Professor and my personal commitment is to teach others who aspire to inspire through education using their own knowledge and experience.

Education is the most Powerful weapon which you can use to change the world “

Over the past 7 years, I have learned how to network within my field to land those still current and active teaching jobs. My goal is to assist and help others who want to teach at the college level who may not have the teaching experience. In addition, I have a very extensive background including but not limited to Performance Learning (Consulting) | Education and Training, Project Management, Workflow Learning Asset Management, Grant Reviewing, Creative Problem-Solving, and Professional Development.
